U. Louisville, Center for Predictive Medicine - Louisville, KY

The $34.6-million Center for Predictive Medicine (37,000 sf) one of 13 such labs being built through a NIAID plan to better protect Americans from biological threats. The lab's mission is to develop vaccines to fight bioterrorism and emerging infectious diseases. The building will house laboratories, animal facility, along with administrative and scientific offices and building support.

Cornell University, Statler Inn - Ithaca, NY

Built in two phases, the 320,000 SF, $32 million project includes a new 10-story, 150 room hotel with function rooms, lobby and lounges, and a full renovation of the adjoining School of Hotel Management and Administration. Renovations to the existing school included classrooms, library, wine storage and tasting rooms, and computer rooms.

Tufts, NE-RBL - North Grafton, MA

The New England Regional Biosafety Laboratory (NE-RBL), located in the Grafton Science Park on the campus of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, Mass., is a $31 million, 41,000-square-foot Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) and Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) facility, with space for 29 faculty and staff. In addition to BSL2 and BSL3 laboratory suites, the facility also features an ABSL3 vivarium, aerobiology suite, and insectary.

U. Chicago, HTRL - Argonne, IL

The HTRL is a state-of-the-art biocontainment facility. The lab is approximately 35,000 square feet and includes office space, BSL-2 & BSL-3 laboratories, vivarium for work with small rodents under BSL-2 & BSL-3, and mechanical space. An aerosol procedure room, and administrative space.
